5 Strict Liability Players are solely responsible for any prohibited substance found in their system despite whether there was an intention to cheat or not and regardless of how the substance came to be in the player’s system

7 Testing � Your obligations - Report to Doping Control immediately upon notification* - Rehydrate quickly (sealed container) - Select sampling equipment - Sample provision has to be observed � Your rights: - Warm down - Fulfil media commitments - Receive treatment - Take someone in with you *The Lead Doping Control officer can use his discretion to decide if you can return to the dressing room once you have reported and signed in at the Doping Control Station. You will be under constant observation by a Chaperone at all times

33 WHAT ARE THE SIDE EFFECTS OF DOPING? It is difficult to know – why? 1. No scientific studies have been done on dopers 2. Drugs used by dopers are developed as medicines, not for performance enhancement
34 WHAT ARE THE SIDE EFFECTS? 3. Athletes using prohibited substances: May not be under a Doctors supervision � Often take very large doses � Might use drugs in combination with � other substances 4. Illegal and counterfeit substances are likely to contain impurities or contaminants But we know a couple of side effects:
