The case for Universal Design It all begins and ends in our mind since the majority of our target market is the family group. We wanted to be the preferred resort for families from all walk of life. We wanted to include all family members which has been excluded when travelling or visiting a hotel such as People with Disabilities, Senior Citizen and Family with Young Children. 3
The case for Universal Design All of them have the same thing in common and looking for ‘Happiness’ We, at the resort love to see the father and mother taking along their granddad & mom to have a good time and enjoy themselves with their grandchildren at our resort. They all laugh and smile which WE call the ‘Happiness’ 4
The case for Universal Design For start, we have 3 special room available for people with disabilities. With the word of mouth spread. There has been a large demand for such a room. Not just for people with disabilities but many of them are senior citizens. Three months ago we have to added another 5 rooms with special design converted for all people to the greatest extent in respond to the huge demand to the hotel 5
The case for Universal Design Knowing that our resort has such available, last two months we have a group with a mixture of people with disabilities and senior citizen from Hong Kong staying in our hotel apart from a huge demand every weekend from Bangkok weekender. And I anticipating there will be a large demand from this segment internationally shortly. 6
