  2. 1 st Quarter: BR&R �  Update to “Doing Business In” and “Welcome” Packets �  Business Owner Breakfasts resume �  Code and Ordinance Review Team �  Letter to recent home buyers ready to mail �  Grand Opening Saturday scheduled for 4/27 �  Gateway groundbreaking scheduled for 5/7 �  Effort continues on old Blockbuster space �  Inventory and audit of available space in progress �

  3. 1 st Quarter: Maintenance �  Two part-time maintenance workers, Carnell and Asher, have been making an impact every day �  Excellent partnership and communication with DPW �  Beginning to document patterns and bulk �  Uniforms ordered (hats already arrived) � �

  4. 1 st Quarter: Events �  2013 event calendar established �  CSO retired; GFest and other new merchant- focused events planned �  Downtown After Sundown has enormous interest from performers but as of yet no funding �  Farmers’ Market (Wednesdays 2-7pm) set to expand to additional weeks and potentially add more diverse offerings �  Based on a grant from 2012, Farmers’ Market will accept SNAP e-payments in 2013 �

  5. 1 st Quarter: Marketing �  SOVillageCenter.org fully functional and earning healthy traffic, robust event calendar �  SOVillageCenter on Facebook very active with just under 200 “likes” with minimal marketing �  “Destination South Orange” advertorial with the Star-Ledger potentially slated for May �  Lisa represented South Orange at the MSNJ marketing summit in Hammonton in February �

  6. 1 st Quarter: Design and Beautification �  FRONTS grant program established with focus on façade lighting (Walia received last 2012 grant) �  NJ Transit Trestle renovation and grant process moving forward with partnerships from the NJ Transit and NJDOT �  Design consultations with Grid Iron Waffle Shop, Pandang, Falafely-Yours, Town Hall Deli, TJ’s Shoes �  Partnering with DPW on new and improved hanging baskets which will bloom all season �

  7. Downtown After Sundown � DOWNT WN CONCERT SERIES SPONSORSHIP AFTER SUND WN OPPORTUNITIES 2013 Join us as we fill the air with incredible live music every Friday and Saturday evening this summer. Our successful concert series returns for its fourth year and will once again feature the best in local jazz, folk, acoustic and rock talent at two venues in the heart of South Orange Village Center. This is a great opportunity to showcase your brand in front of thousands of appreciative consumers. Beyond signage at each venue, we offer sampling opportunities, heavy social media integration and a partnership where you can be as creative as our artists in how to best leverage your investment.
