O que são Expressões Idiomáticas? As expressões idiomátjcas ( idiomatjc expressions ) também conhecidas como “idioms” são palavras que quando estão em uma determinada frase tem um signifjcado diferente das defjnições individuais de cada uma no dicionário de inglês, ou seja é uma frase feita cujo sentjdo não tem muito ou nada a ver com o sentjdo de cada uma das palavras que a formam.

COLOR IDIOMS 1. Green with envy – FICAR COM MUITO CIÚME Example: “Katie was green with envy when she saw you got a new car for your birthday.” 2. Gray area – ALGO QUE NÃO É CLARO / INDEFINIDO Example: The issue of allowing mobile phones in the classroom is a gray area right now- it could go either way. 3.
