Worry and fear
MATTHEW 14:25-26 Shortly before dawn Jesus went out to them, walking on the lake. When the disciples saw him walking on the lake, they were terrifjed. “It’s a ghost,” they said, and cried out in fear.
MATTHEW 14:27 But Jesus immediately said to them: “Take courage! It is I. Don’t be afraid.”
MATTHEW 14:30-31 But when he saw the wind, he was afraid and, beginning to sink, cried out, “Lord, save me!” Immediately Jesus reached out his hand and caught him.
Stand your ground
EXODUS 14:13-14 ”Do not be afraid. Stand fjrm … The L ORD will fjght for you;
Pray for peace
PHILIPPIANS 4:6 Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God.
Object to lies
2 CORINTHIANS 10:5 …we take captive every thought to make it obedient to Christ.
Trust God
PSALM 56:3-4 When I am afraid, I put my trust in you. In God, whose word I praise — in God I trust and am not afraid. What can mere mortals do to me?
