Workshop Monday 26 to Wednesday 28 June IBS seminar room TRANSPORT Lyon Saint Exupery Airport is a one-hour drive from Grenoble and regular shuttle buses ('Navette Aéroport') operate to and from Grenoble bus station (‘Gare Routière’), which is next to Grenoble railway station. The shuttle bus is now operated by "OUI BUS ". Buses run hourly, seven days a week. Reservation is recommended, you can book your return ticket online. The stop, to arrive directly at ESRF, is “Grenoble Presqu’île”.
Geneva International Airport is a two-hour drive from the EPN campus. Bus and train connections to Grenoble exist but are not very frequent. A shuttle bus service runs between Geneva International Airport and Grenoble coach station. Buses run 6 times a day. Reservation is recommended, you can book your return ticket online. Tramway The EPN research site is well connected to the public transport network. Tram B links the site to the coach and railway stations and to Grenoble city centre; its terminus - 'Grenoble Presqu'île', is situated just 350 metres from the site entrance. Grenoble's trams operate 7 days a week, from 5 a.m. to 1 a.m. approximately. Click here for detailed timetable. Automated ticket machines are available at all tram stations . You can use your credit card or coins to pay for your purchases. ACCOMMODATION GUESTHOUSE On working days, the opening hours of the reception are 7:00 am – 08:00 pm. On Saturday and Sunday, it is open from 7:00 am to 11:00 am. Outside these hours, you will find an envelope with your room keys at the site entrance. For participants arriving on Sunday, the onsite restaurant is open from 12:00 to 13:30 and 19:00 to 20:30. CATERING We have taken into account the food restrictions mentioned in the registration. Monday 26 June 12:00 – 13:30 A buffet lunch will be served in the guest room of the site restaurant, first room on the right after entering the restaurant. Monday 26 June 18:30 – 21:00 A barbecue will take place at the onsite chalet. Tuesday 27 June 12:00 – 13:30 Lunch will be served in the guest room of the site restaurant. Tuesday 27 June 19:00 Dinner will take place at “Le Zinc” bar, 5 rue Auguste Gaché, Grenoble. Access tram B, stop “Sainte Claire Les Halles”.
Wednesday 27 June 12:00 – 13:00 A buffet lunch will be served in the guest room of the site restaurant. WIFI You will receive an individual WiFi code to use at the guesthouse, restaurant and ESRF building. In the IBS seminar room, where the workshop will take place, you can use EDUROAM.
