Our R Requirements ts • A robust, reliable , superfast service. • Offer minimum of 30/15/15 Mbps with future capability up to 1Gbps both way uncontended. • Will deliver a world class broadband service to 100% of our operational area. • Prices will be comparable with other broadband suppliers, including BT. • We aim to be locally managed with a view to operating and supplying all aspects of our services on Skye.
What H t Have W We Achieved S So Far? • Published North Skye Broadband viability report. Indicating 70% or more of our community would be interested taking services. • Formed North Skye Broadband Limited (ComBenSoc). • Published State Aid Consultation and high level requirement. • Defined our project area. • Undertaken extensive community engagement events • Secured nearly 200 registrations of interest website and > 550 FB likes. • Opened dialogue with landowners for survey and wayleave access.
