WHO WE ARE ● We are a non-profit that has been delivering employment programs in the Northern Community Development Services the Rainy River District for 44 years ● We are located in Fort Frances with a satellite office in Emo ● We are governed by 7 Board of Directors We service an area that is 15, 473 km² ● with a population of 20, 110 We successfully meet our targets year ● after year

  2. HISTORY We were incorporated in 1975 as a private charity. The mandate was to provide employment and training services to the people of the Rainy River District. Over the years, NCDS has delivered many youth and employment programs including COPE, Job Connect, HRSDC Skills Development, Skills Link and Experience Ontario. We currently run ES, YJC/S, COJG, and Second Career. At the heart of NCDS is community development . We work well with partners including Rainy River District School Board, CMHA, OW (on and off reserve), all the surrounding First Nations, Shooniyaa Wa-Biitong, UNFC, Valley Adult Learning and many other organizations to help our communities grow.

  15. LOCAL COLLABORATION We have partnered with Contact North to expand our workshops to be online through their system.

  16. ONLINE DELIVERY CHANNEL We have great ideas to create an online service delivery channel for client’s with fewer barriers. The online channel will: ● Improve access to clients Be cost effective ● ● Better prepare client’s for the workforce ● Accessible to clients in remote areas
