  2. What is Camp Zebra? Camp Zebra is a seasonal luxury mobile camp which shadows the great Wildebeest migration year-round. Locations are normally as follows: 15th December till the 31 st March each year – Ndutu area. • 1 st June till the 30 th June – Central Serengeti (precise location dictated by • the movement of the Wildebeest herds). 1 st July till 31 st October – Kogatende area close by the Mara River. • 1 st November till the 15 th December – Central Serengeti (precise location • dictated by the movement of the Wildebeest herds). The camp is closed from the 1 st April till the 31 st May each year.

  4. The Camp Camp Zebra consists of a ‘day’ tent, a separate lounge tent intended for quiet reading and relaxation and 6 en-suite accommodation tents to include a specially configured “family” tent..

  5. Accommodation Tents Our en-suite accommodation tents measure 30 square meters and consist of a private verandah, bedroom area, dressing room, shower room and flush toilet. Each tent is supplied with both hot and cold water as well as electricity which is generated by our state of the art solar system. Aside from enjoying ample lighting, our guests can also charge their cameras, mobile telephones and tablet computers in the convenience of their own tents.

  7. Family Tent Camp Zebra also has a family tent which is made up of two accommodation tents joined together by a private lounge area. Measuring over 60 square meters, each bedroom has its own en-suite dressing area, shower and toilet. As with our standard accommodation tents, the family tent is supplied with both hot and cold water as well as electricity. All accommodation tents can be set up for single, double and triple occupancy.

  8. Mess Tent The large ‘mess’ tent is configured as a lounge / dining room and includes an open bar. Accommodation is provided on a full board, all-inclusive basis to include the following: • Breakfast • Lunch (hot lunch served in camp or a picnic hamper to be taken on game drives). • Pre-dinner bitings. • Dinner. • Wines, spirits (international brands), beers, minerals and mineral water. • Laundry services. Camp Zebra also has a “reading” tent with books and board games where guests can relax when not out on game drives.

  9. Fly-in and Drive-in stays Camp Zebra can also be booked as a ‘flying Safari’ destination with both airstrip transfers and game drives being carried out in our own 4 x 4 vehicles driven by our own highly trained professional guides.

Intimate Places and the environment Intimate Places is proud of its record on the protection of the environments in which we operate. • Electricity in camp is produced by solar energy (a stand-by generator is available for use in case of emergencies only). • Hot water is produced using especially fabricated, energy efficient boilers and recycled wood products. • All garbage generated at the camp is returned to Arusha where it is properly disposed of. Camp Zebra is part of Intimate Places award winning ‘Intimate Camps.’
