  1. Welcome to Ragnar Relay Lake Tahoe Friday and Saturday August 14-15, 2015 Royal Gorge Cross Country Nevada Ski Resort

  2. SURVEY RESULTS

  3. What is RAGNAR and what am I getting myself into? Ragnar is an overnight running relay race and camping adventure that makes testing your limits a team sport. NEED MORE ? Well of course you do!

  4. 7 of your crazier friends + you = 8 Each runner will run 3 different loops = Green, Yellow, and Red Green Loop = 3.1 miles Yellow Loop – 6.9 miles Red Loop = 5.5 miles For a total of 15.5 run miles Each team will collectively do 120+ miles in a 24+ hour timespan

  5. Still have more questions….No problem! In 2013, 106 teams registered for Ragnar Lake Tahoe. That’s 850+ runners in one village! Can you say “Tent City”?!

  6. Not a fast runner ? Don’t sweat it…. Each team needs to have an average pace of 11 minutes per mile (pace can range anywhere from a 9 minute pace per mile to approximately 12:30 minute pace per mile). Runnin for Rhett would like to match runners up who share the same pace per mile so that you can run the trails together. What does this mean exactly? It means you can run with your friends! Each runner with the same pace will be placed on different teams but assigned the same runner number. Example: Beth, Karin, Randy, and Paul will be Runner # 2 but each of them are on different teams. When Runner # 2 begins their loop, they will all start off together. When they are done they will tag Runner # 3s to begin their loop, and so on…..

  7. Why would you want to do Ragnar? I can think of a few great reasons! outdoor beauty bonding experience Campfires, friends, and s’mores ! Big Bling –  Hello people! Lake Van Norden 

  8. What’s Next? • Saying Yes! Commitment to sign up. • Registration Fee is approximately $144.55 per person (includes registration team cost of $1,120 + the online fee of $36.40 divided by 8 runners = $144.55). Your fee includes Friday night pasta dinner, participant shirt, medal, village festivities and more! • Teams must register by March 20 th before the cost increases! • 1 volunteer per team is needed. That person can be a non runner, 16+ years or older , and must complete a 4 hour shift. If a team can’t supply a volunteer, then a team must pay the $120 volunteer fee (divided by 8 is $15 per runner = $159.55). Teams can decide this later. • Captains will register and pay for the team online – Each runner will receive an invite by the captain to join that team. Accept the invite, proceed with completing your individual profile, and sign your waiver. • You don’t want to run, but still want to come along? Sure that’s allowed! Camping is free for friends and family. The Friday night meal is not free (cost TBD). Please let us know who’s coming. • Future team meeting(s) to be scheduled. • Other associated costs will include team shirts, food and gas expenses.

  9. Future Team Meetings • Team Shirts • Carpooling • Camping Equipment/Runner’s Packing List • Food Details • Other Associated Costs ($$ see above) • Training (Ragnar recommended schedule)
