Senior Project Mission Statement The mission of Senior Project is to create an opportunity for students to produce a culminating technical project that challenges them to demonstrate and display mastery of the technical, academic, and social skills needed for lifelong learning and success in a changing world.

Don’t let this be you! You delete your ePortfolio... You blow off deadlines… You don’t save the pics that you took of your Product on your phone... You plagiarize your Product, Paper or Presentation...
No Junior Proposal = No grading Was due last spring! ■ Consequences for changes of proposal: ■ No further in-school disruption of Shop or English. See teachers before or after school! ■ No extensions will be given for due dates!

Mentor - Mentor - Mentor ■ EVERYONE is encouraged to have ■ Community based a mentor. Mentors for extra credit ■ A mentor may help must have boost your Senior expertise in the Project Grade. ☺ Product topic ■ Family and Friends and CAN NOT be “OK” to guide you family. (but not OK for credit)
If You’re on Co-op: Product ■ Make arrangements with Evaluation your Shop teacher to be Due Dates: graded ■ Be prepared to come to ■ September 13 th school on the due dates ■ October 11 th ■ Be responsible ■ You will not be eligible for ■ November 8 th Co-op if you get a grade of less than a C for the 1st or 2nd trimesters.
If your Senior Project includes a Fundraiser: ■ . ■ Keep track of the funds you raise for your non-profit agency. ■ You must meet with the Business Manager, Mrs. Orcutt, to set up an account. ■ Technical instructors will be required to monitor monies collected and sign off that the student has disbursed the funds to the intended non-profit.
Community Partner Form Community Partners: Those people/organizations that you are coordinating with to plan an event for your Product. What should you do? Complete this form and put in your Portfolio BEFORE the First Product Evaluation.
Research Paper format… ■ Your English instructor will support the Paper phase. ■ You will write a technical paper that will demonstrate your technical knowledge. ■ Your English Instructor will grade your paper and your Shop Instructor will specifically grade the technical content of your paper.
Presentation – Social Studies ■ The Presentation phase is supported and partially graded by your Social Studies teacher. ■ Students will have opportunities for “dress rehearsals” ■ Make your Portfolio presentation ready . ■ ‘Dress to impress’ with business professional attire the day of your presentation
