Ecological Management 2016/17 budget $120,000 • Guided by a three- year plan • Pest plant control (willows and alders) in eastern shore wetlands • Pest animal control including mustelids and cats • Monitoring bird populations, exotic fish control trial
Interpretation and Visitor facilities
Interpretation and Visitor Facilities 2016/17 budget $61,000 • Guided by a three-year plan • Improving the visitor experience at key sites • Lake Domain – car park, signage, interpretation • Boggy Pond/ Wairio – car park, signage, interpretation
Advocacy & Community Support
Advocacy & Community Support 2016/17 budget $41,500 • Guided by a three-year plan • School programmes – E.g Whitebait connection • Public events – E.g. Kakahi monitoring • Community Groups – New funding support programme
