  14. F/ V Sinking January 2018 An 82’ F/V targeting hagfish sank off Cape Alava, inside Olympic National Marine Sanctuary. Depsite dewatering efforts, the crew was forced to abandon the vessel and were recovered safely from the water.

  15. F/ V Grounding August 2018 A 56’ fiberglass vessel with one person and a dog onboard ran aground off Santa Cruz in Monterey Bay National Marine Sanctuary. The operator and dog made it safely ashore with no injuries. The vessel broke up in surf and was a total loss.

  17. F/ V Capsizing May 2018 Vessel capsized with one person onboard while fishing for Dungeness crab on Willapa Bay, WA.

  18. Capsized Recreational Halibut Vessel 11 May 2018 Three fisherman were tossed into the water off Tatoosh Island when their boat was washed against the rocks and capsized. One of the persons was recovered unconscious and was pronounced deceased in Neah Bay.
