There is one God – one divine essence or being. Our Triune God There are three divine Persons in the one God. Father Jesus is the second person of the Trinity. The Son is equal to the Father and the Spirit. He is eternally begotten of the Father. Son There was never a time when He was not. As the Son, Jesus is submissive to the Father. As God, Jesus is worthy of our worship. Holy Spirit Since He is God, we can pray to Jesus.
