A fact: The three scientific domains (LS, PSE and SSH) are already embarking complexity in their own fields of expertise and in their own way (definitions, methods and tools). An overarching goal : to promote more integrated and interdisciplinary practices between experiments and models, revisiting the theoretical framework of the complexity sciences. In particular, we push forward interoperability between expert knowledge (qualitative) and formal approaches (quantitative): high formal tools for analysis and modeling with high genericity features, Big data at the different observational scales, and the knowledge acquired in human, social and health sciences. Three Transversal Research Themes: Emergence, multi-scale interactions, feedback loops, cascades, bifurcations, non linear dynamics, … are finely studied within 3 Transversal Research Themes (1) Dynamic Networks, (2) Collective Motion and Mobility, (3) Adaption to Risks .
Three spheres of action: Science & Science & Non academic Science & Society Interdisciplinarity partnership Cross-disciplinary Projects Thematic Days Awareness Meetings Interdisciplinary seminars Executive Education Experimentation Initiatives Education and Training Partnership Projects Citizen Participation Trainings, Scholarships & Theses Academic School (For detailed information on the events : http://www.xsys.fr) Federation & coordination of communities of interests: A core of 14 research unit engaged (43 research unit have expressed their interest), 3 experimentation plateforms, 32 non academic partners (Airbus, Hospital, … ).
