Our friends & the Nehemiah School Ebola hotspot The worst place in the world to fall ill
Our friend & community leader, Prince, with his team. They are taking action in the Ebola hotspot. Kuntorloh is the very community where they live and work.
Ebola hit families have to self-quarantine for at least 21 days. Unable to leave their compound. They are isolated and ignored.
They provide quarantined families with food and essential supplies. 233 people depend on us currently The local chief, (foreground) accompanies the team in their rounds.
This great work is being done by those who were once boy soldiers in the rebel army. They are now conveyors of hope. They will be here for 10 years, not just 10 weeks.
”Today again we were met with news of several deaths in Kuntorloh Area. The community health officer in Kuntorloh , mentioned a house with four children and their grandfather all sick.” PJ Cole, 27 November “We just learnt that a family of 10 at 50F Jalloh Terrace has lost another family member taking the total number of deaths in that household to 7. They were due to be released from quarantine on 2nd December. However, with the latest death last week. They are quarantined for an additional 21 days. 2 of the remaining 3 family members are survivors. Thus their quarantine will need to roll on.” PJ Cole, 3 December ”The big advantage of course is that we ourselves will be undertaking the delivery of goods to quarantined homes. This means that we will not be giving monies to third parties and can be assured that anything given will be used exactly for the purpose for which it was destined”.
