The growth choice is building our relationship with God to know God and His Will for our lives and to gain the strength to follow His Will.
What is real is if we don’t keep in line with God, there is a chance we can go back into relapse.

Growing means believing God has a better story for you.
When Daniel knew that the document had been signed, he went to his house where he had windows in his upper chamber open toward Jerusalem. He got down on his knees three times a day and prayed and gave thanks before his God, as he had done previously. Then these men came by agreement and found Daniel making petition and plea before his God. Daniel 6:10–13
Then they came near and said before the king, concerning the injunction, “O king! Did you not sign an injunction, that anyone who makes petition to any god or man within thirty days except to you, O king, shall be cast into the den of lions?” The king answered and said, “The thing stands fast, according to the law of the Medes and Persians, which cannot be revoked.” Daniel 6:10–13
Then they answered and said before the king, “Daniel, who is one of the exiles from Judah, pays no attention to you, O king, or the injunction you have signed, but makes his petition three times a day.” Daniel 6:10–13
Growing means believing God will give you a new perspective.
Growing means believing the time with God is essential to grow in our hurts, habits, and hang-ups.
Kirkegaard said, “If I can only prescribe one remedy for the ills and problems of the modern world I would prescribe silence because without silence if the word of God is proclaimed it can’t be heard, there is too much noise.”
The purpose of the daily office is to stop once, twice, maybe 3 or 4 times a day to stop and pause and be with God maybe through Scripture so that you are remembering God all throughout the day.
It is being silent before God that will peel away false parts of yourself and gets you to a place where you are the true you.
