  2. Business Needs The Catboat Association needs a new website for several reasons First, a new and improved site would attract new members. The launching of a new site at this time of the year is perfect for attracting members. June through August is prime boating season A new site would also bring in money on sales. New members would be looking to purchase Catboats or buy other gear. By improving the online store section, the association would benefit greatly Another reason to update the sight would be to inform members of the latest events. Project Scope The new website will Include: • Improved layout • Sections: Sailing instructions, catboat specifications, history, about CBA, catboat maintenance, photo gallery, publications, by-laws, membership, catboats for sale, calendar, downloads, navigation, CBA Shop, and contacts • Better image for Catboats • More closely united catboat community Limitations: • Catboat Association may be limited financially • Website will limit what Catboat members are able to post • Modern technology may not apply to Catboats; the stakeholders prefer an older more nautical theme Exclusions: • Any content that is not sanction with the Catboat association • The CBA may only use information they are authorized to publish • The CBA must have permission for anyone’s boat/image they use

Objective To remodel the website to better represent the association in an organized, navigable, and appealing fashion to existing and potential members within two months and not exceeding a cost of $3,500.
