The 13 By Megan Reckman
Sh Shape The sun is hot and round. It is part of our a planet and this picture breaks it down. A shape is a particular form that an object appears.
Lin Line A line is a straight edge. I chose this highway line because it separates lanes of travel helps keep us safe.
Form/Snowflake A snow flake is a unique shape that forms only in the winter time. Snow flakes are beautiful. Form is the shape that something is.
Sh Shap ape/Colo lour Color is a property of an object. Colors are very important in design because they can really draw your eyes to that object.
Shape/texture Texture is the feel or appearance of an object. Ex, smooth, rough, bumpy. I chose this picture because I could imagine running my hand over and the texture changing where the lines are.
Sh Shap ape/Space Space is the area in a design that is empty.
Shape/Value In this shape/value it shows the darkness and lighness of the shadows of the shapes.
Shape/Pattern A pattern goes around more than one time. In this pattern there are 5 different colors.
Shape/Contrast Contrast is the extent to which something is different from something else. This sunflower has some contrast inside and outside. It has contrast between each petal and the flower and the center.
Shape/Emphasis Emphasis is one method used to draw your attention to an object. I thought this picture of a building with over 300 hundred windows demonstrates this principle well. It peaks your curiosity to look further because you’re not quite sure at first what you’re looking at.
Shape/Balance Balance is the symmetry of an object. It can either have the same elements on both sides that would make is symmetric or not the same on both sides that would make it A symmetrical. This picture is an example of A symmetrical because she only has one arm down, if she puts her other arm down it would be symmetric.
Proportion/Scale Scale refers to the size of an object in relation to another object. This picture shows the concept of scale very well because of the difference in the size of the feet.
Shape/Harmony Harmony is the way in which things go together or work together
Rhythm / Movement I have rhythm, I have movement, I can do anything that you would like me to do. This picture shows rhythm and movement with the pencils in a wave motion.
