Key 2018 Changes
2018 Key Changes Duct Efficiency and Air Infiltration Keeping these measures as long as they remain cost effective Final updates will be in TRM 5.0 when complete Max pre-installation leakage rate capped at 35% of total fan flow for Duct in Residential SOP No cap for Hard-to-Reach SOP. Air Infiltration CFM reduction capped at 30% in Residential SOP No cap for Hard-to-Reach SOP. TNMP is allowing a maximum CFM reduction cap of 40% if the proper photo documentation is submitted into P3. Uploaded photographs will be required in order to exceed the 30% CFM reduction cap, up to 40% total CFM reduction. Photographs must capture: 1) pre & post blower door meter readings, and 2) the scope/type of retrofit implemented, showing pre- and post-retrofit condition of the treated locations (examples may include: newly added door strip, caulking around window frame, recessed lighting fixtures, etc.).
2018 Key Changes Cont. A/C Tune-up TNMP adjusting incentives to enable and encourage HVAC measures to be performed in residential homes TNMP hopes to see increased participation by HVAC sponsors Please see incentives on slide 15 Solar PV We will continue this measure in 2018 Please see incentives on slide 15 Attic Encapsulation, Cool Roofs, and Pool Pumps TNMP is adding new measures to make up for the reduction in savings for Duct Efficiency and Air Infiltration Attic encapsulation is a good measure for gas or electric-heated homes, though greater savings are typically achieved with electric- heated homes
