4 th Year Externship at MDHC • Full time LEND fellow • Specialty rotations in pediatrics and with Auditory/Verbal Therapist • CoMPASS Clinic – Case Manager • Grand Rounds Presentations • Newborn Hearing Screening • Individual clinic/research project
Mentorship to Rural Audiologists • Tele-audiology used to improve access to pediatric audiology services in underserved areas by training practicing audiologists • Computer sharing during diagnostic ABR • Provides rural audiologists guidance during the procedure while allowing them to maintain relationship with the patient/family
Tele-health and Direct Services • Provides speech/language therapy to children in rural areas • Therapy sessions take place during school day with student, DHH teacher and local SLP – Modeling for local speech therapist – Equipment training for DHH teacher, SLP and student • Participation in IEP meetings • Training for rural professionals
Educational Opportunities and Participation in Team Meetings • Grand Rounds – Denver Health and open invitation to rural clinics • Off site clinic’s participation in team meetings for multi-disciplinary team clinic
