SLGP Learning Learning 1. The Project needs to cooperate with mandated structures, and not with individuals 2. PDP partnership needs to be above politics 3. Partnerships needs to be formalized in a Memorandum of understanding/agreement 4. Crime prevention through visible patrolling is effective 5. Developing youth during a year of volunteer services, increases their potential for employment by 75 % 6. Partnership roles and responsibilities need to be clarified from the first project phase 7. SLGP PDP Achievements � PDP is recognized as a support service to prevent crime in communities � PDP has provided training to over 350 of young volunteers since 1999 � Over 75 % of volunteers have succeeded in finding employment after their one year of service � PDP contributes to the reduction of social conflict, which has a high potential for crime on behalf of 14.11.2007 Seite 15
