Sustainability-­‑ ¡Nigeria ¡ Today ¡ -­‑ ¡With ¡demonstrated ¡commitments ¡from ¡the ¡government, ¡the ¡salt ¡ The ¡Nigerian ¡naGonal ¡coaliGon ¡has ¡developed ¡a ¡2013-­‑ ¡ industry, ¡and ¡assistance ¡from ¡ICCIDD ¡and ¡the ¡agencies, ¡and, ¡Nigeria ¡began ¡ to ¡make ¡progress ¡towards ¡USI. ¡ 2015 ¡operaGonal ¡plan ¡guiding ¡acGons ¡at ¡the ¡levels ¡of ¡ ¡ ¡ producGon, ¡monitoring ¡and ¡enforcement, ¡as ¡well ¡as ¡ -­‑ ¡In ¡2005, ¡Nigeria ¡was ¡the ¡first ¡African ¡country ¡to ¡be ¡cerGfied ¡as ¡having ¡ social ¡markeGng ¡and ¡communicaGons. ¡ ¡ eliminated ¡IDD ¡as ¡a ¡public ¡health ¡problem ¡and ¡has ¡sustained ¡that ¡ achievement ¡since. ¡ ¡ ConGnued ¡strong ¡advocacy ¡by ¡the ¡ICCIDD ¡GN ¡and ¡strong ¡ naGonal ¡leadership ¡is ¡needed ¡to ¡ensure ¡the ¡ implementaGon ¡of ¡this ¡plan. ¡
