Global GW network 27
Joining the global GW network GEO-HF Ad. LIGO KAGRA Ad. Virgo LIGO-India The scientific output will be maximized by the global network. KAGRA wants to join the worldwide network of gravitational wave detection / astronomy as soon as it reaches to a high sensitivity. MOU between LSC/Virgo/KAGRA. 28

Summary • KAGRA is a unique GW interferometer with the underground site and the cryogenic technology. • We had the initial operation (iKAGRA) in March-April 2016. • We plan to start the initial cryogenic operation by the end of March 2018, and full configuration in early 2019(?). • KAGRA would like to contribute to the global network of gravitational wave astronomy, a new area of astronomy. • We would like to enjoy the astronomy with GW! Let us work together in KAGRA! 30
