Program Eligibility To apply to BCIP, you must: • Not have sold your innovation • Show IP ownership or rights commercially • Apply to one of the 4 Standard • Be a Canadian business or 6 Military Priority Areas • Include 80% Canadian content 5

BCIP Success Stories Innovation: Giatec iCOR Innovator: Giatec Scientific Inc. from Ottawa, ON • A hand-held device for non-contact corrosion detection of concrete structures. • This portable device uses cutting edge technology that can help detect deteriorating areas within seconds as well as the rate of deterioration. • The innovations is being tested with Parks Canada (Real Property Branch). 15
BCIP Success Stories Innovation: Smartpods Innovator: Sparx Smartpods Inc. from Dieppe, New-Brunswick • The innovation is an automated computer workstation that adjusts to the unique ergonomic needs of the user. • Smartpods are being tested within PSPC (Real Property Branch). 16
Additional Sales • For testing limited quantities of the innovation with the same or new testing department. • Follows the terms, conditions and pricing structure of the initial BCIP contract. • Innovation tested must be the same innovation that was tested under original BCIP contract. • Testing department responsible for funding, PSPC responsible for contracting. 17
