Independent Study • An option many do not know about … – Work one-on-one with a faculty member – Often relates to the faculty’s research area – Typically goes beyond existing courses – Gets you involved in research – Gets you great letters of reference! • Details – Fill out form available in the main office. – 1-6 credits, only 3 towards the major – Only 1 can count towards an elective – Your job to ask faculty
