Organization and Chapter History Sigma Kappa sorority was founded in 1874 to promote the values of friendship, service, loyalty and personal growth. Here at the Kappa Pi chapter at Clemson University, we live out these values each day while seeking the highest intellectually, socially and spiritually.
Philanthropy and Service Alzheimer’s Association Sigma Kappa’s main philanthropy is the Alzheimer’s Association! Each year Sigma Kappa participates in the Alzheimer’s Association’s Walk to End Alzheimer's. Last year Clemson SK raised over $56,000 to go towards research for this disease and was in the Top 5 fundraising teams for Sigma Kappa, nationally! Sigma Kappa Foundation The Sigma Kappa Foundation supports funding for sisters in need, leadership opportunities for women, philanthropic initiatives, and much more! We support the Foundation and our sisters with “Ultraviolet” events throughout the year!

Requirements for Membership Sigma Kappa is so excited to meet all the incoming PNMs during recruitment! Some requirements for our chapter’s membership are: - a minimum 2.8 college GPA or a 3.0 high school GPA - living on the Sigma Kappa hall at some time during membership!
