  10. BID Business ✓ As part of our mid term review we were independently audited by
British BIDs. We are very pleased to say that we successfully maintained our British BIDs accreditation status and remain one of only 25 BIDs in the UK to hold this status. 11. Aggressive Begging ✓ We have been working with South Wales Police for some time on the begging and aggressive begging issues we face in the City Centre as Businesses. Police are patrolling the city centre everyday and on every shift are issuing section 35s when/where needed so we have had success in removing aggressive individuals from the area, this continues. However, based on businesses feedback of late we now need to develop this even further. So, BID and the Police now need your help as businesses to report and highlight the issues so they can now also be dealt with via the courts in order to help improve the shopper and trading environment as its advised this court avenue will also help deter others. ✓ What do you need to do as a business if you encounter aggressive begging issues that are impacting on your business? It’s really simply, you just need to be report it to the Police by calling 101, 999 or over the City Net/Nite Net radio (if you have one) when you see an issue. It will also be very handy if instances that happen on your doorstep are captured on CCTV (if you have it) as that way it can be burned off for Police Officers who can exhibit them as part of their statements.

  12. Aggressive Begging ✓ We can help improve the situation that we like other Cities find ourselves in, but we need your help as businesses by reporting it in order to make the difference businesses want. Keen to stress that we also have the Have A Heart diverted given scheme in place which supports those beggars who are genuinely homeless working with homeless charities.
