1. What is a regularity event? • Normal road cars • On open roads • Not a speed competition FIA Confidentiel 3
2. Why does the organiser need a insurance? • Compliance with laws; • Local organiser’s director is legally responsible for what happens during the event (Civil & criminal liability) • Damages (examples of claims); • Image / reputation for the organiser, the ASN and ultimately for the FIA; • Cancellation of the Event. 3. What are the critical points to be covered? • General liability • Participants insurance (As they are « normal » drivers with road cars, limits are different depending on the country) • Cancellation of the event? • First aid insurance • Products liability insurance (if catering and memorabilia) • EXAMPLES?
