Discuss/Vote on Constitution • Why did we do this? – One driver was a desire to apply for Non-Profit Status – Has not been looked at since 2009 – There has been some confusion in the past – Most of the changes were administrative or formatting changes – The document is not perfect, but it is our framework -- we largely function as a cooperative group of volunteers
Discuss/Vote on Constitution • Primary Substantive Changes – Removed Reference to supporting legislation as an objective – Clarified membership eligibility – Clarified the terms of office for elected officers – Added Bee School Principal to Executive Board – Clarified how Bee School Principal is selected and provides for succession – Clarified who is included in member dues – Clarified duties of the Vice President – Requires advance approval for expenses when reimbursement is expected
Discuss/Vote on Constitution • Once approved by the membership, it will be signed, scanned, and available on the PWBRA Website • Signed copy will be held by the Club Secretary Time to Discuss and Vote
