Why the Private Equity Fellows Program? 2. Learn the Private Equity Industry ● Acquire the knowledge and skills required for success in private equity ● Participate in after-hours lectures focused on cases demonstrating the deal process ● Meet with recent alumni to discuss their roles within deal teams ● Engage in case writing/technical notes for independent study credit (optional, depending on willingness and availability) 3

The Fellows Program: Content • Assignment of alumni mentor(s) • After-hours lectures • Opportunity for writing case studies and/or technical notes • Practice Interview sessions • Focused career guidance 5
Selection Criteria ● “2+2” experience ● Demonstrated evidence of interest, enthusiasm and dedication ● Grades, core courses ● Recommendations, two faculty members ● Examination, LBO modeling ● Interview evidencing knowledge of private equity deal process ● Writing sample 6
2015-16 PE Fellows Program – Application Process Key Dates ● April 15 – Fellows Program Overview Session ● April 24 -- First year info session & career advising (currently wait list) ● April 29 – Small-group tutorials, LBO models ● June 1 – Stage 1 : application form including writing sample, faculty recommendation form available on PE Fellows Program site ● September 1 – Resume in PDF format, Writing Sample; responses to essay questions and form submission due ● September 8 – Faculty recommendations due ● September 11 – Stage 2 : Announcement of those Selected to move on to LBO models test; open-book models test to be made available on Canvas ● September 15 – Open-book models test deadline ● September 17 – Stage 3 : Announcement of those to move on to last stage of candidate interviews. Interview times will be assigned. ● September 29 – Notification of acceptance 7
