Why Start a Police Academy? • Currently we are forced to fit our needs into other academy timelines • Difficult to hire and fill positions when other agency needs change • We need to train recruits to be Carroll County Sheriff’s Office Deputies and serve the citizens of this county 7 C OMMITMENT TO THE O FFICER
What Comprises the Police Academy • The Carroll County Sheriff’s Office is offering a 27 week Entry Level Police Academy • Academy start date - 11/06/2017 • Graduation date - 05/11/2018 • 30 Recruit applicant positions • Upon successful completion of the academy, recruits will receive an Associates of Arts Degree 8 C OMMITMENT TO THE O FFICER
