About the Project • Unique NVAO & THE-ICE Joint Accreditation Project • Involves 5 out of 7 hotel management programs of the Association Dutch Hotel Management Schools • Re-accreditation by NVAO is required every 6 years • Either limited (4 standards) or extended (11 standards) assessment; Ad, Bachelor and Master level • Standards of THE-ICE and NVAO overlap partially • NVAO can also award Distinctive Features like Internationalisation or Small-scale and intensive education 3
About the Project (2/2) • No consultancy bureau involved, which is a first • Each expert panel holds 2 THE-ICE auditors, 1 or 2 additional experts, 1 student and 1 secretary • Roof-tiling between panels is required by NVAO • Site visits take up to 3 days per school, March till June 2018 • Validation by THE-ICE reinforces global excellence branding of Dutch Hotel Schools 4
