Developing opportunities for Employment for young people with SEND
Project aims Overall aim is to improve employment outcomes for young people with SEND and demonstrate how: Ø To promote high quality careers advice for children and young people with SEND Ø To use vocational profiling and embed in EHC Plans and the curriculum Ø To develop effective employer engagement strategies Ø To develop responsive study programmes Ø To develop a clear multi-agency pathway into employment
Expectation of sites Ø Develop a work plan based on local priorities Ø Involve schools, colleges, economic regeneration, commissioners and supported employment providers Ø Engage at least one employer to work on the project Ø Ensure that relevant staff can work on the project Ø Set up a key stakeholder group if an appropriate one does not exist
