What is Dual Credit? • Dual credit allows students to earn high school and college credit at the same time. • High school students enroll in university classes and, upon successful completion, credits will apply to high school graduation AND a college degree. • The courses will appear on both high school and university transcripts.

Dual Credit Benefits • Earn dual credit from a Tier 1 Public Research University • Get a head start on a bachelor's degree by completing the Texas Core Curriculum • Gain transferrable college credit • Receive discounted university tuition • Earn weighted high school GPA • Attend UNT Frisco Campus at Hall Park

This four-semester interdisciplinary, project-based learning experience is designed around solving real- world problems—problems that make the course content relevant and meaningful. You'll work in teams to explore, discover, and recommend unique solutions as you develop analytical, professional, and interpersonal skills that employers identify as essential.

  8. North Texas NOW! Courses The program focuses on the 42 semester credit hour Texas Core Curriculum. Core requirements are common to all public colleges and universities in Texas. A completed Texas Core Curriculum is fully transferrable between public higher education institutions in Texas. Core requirements are subject to change per state, university, or departmental requirements.

Eligibility Requirements • Fulfill UNT dual credit admissions criteria • Receive Frisco ISD approval • Be a Frisco ISD sophomore • Demonstrate college readiness in reading, writing and/or mathematics with one of the following assessments: Test Reading Writing Math Composite TSI 351 340 & 4+ on essay 350 ACT 19 19 23 SAT 480 530 PSAT 460 510

Tuition = $50 per credit hour Fees = $25 per credit hour Cost of a Typical Three Credit Hour Dual Credit Regular UNT Course Tuition Tuition Tuition per 3-credit course $150 $1013 Dual credit fee per 3-credit course $ 75 $377 Total Per Course $225 $1390 Total Per Semester $900* $5,560* *does not include textbooks, supplies, or a one-time application fee of $75
