Return to School Protocols: Health and Safety ● Hybrid and Remote Learning Options ● Symptoms Monitoring ○ At Home: Check Temperature and Health Screening ■ Cough, Shortness of Breath, New Loss of Taste or Smell, etc. ○ At School: Temperatures will be checked at the door ■ 100 Degrees or Higher, student must be picked up ● Social Distancing ○ Students must stay 6 feet apart. ○ Desks in classrooms have been spaced apart and will be assigned ○ Hallway Restrictions ● Face Coverings ○ Mask or Face Gaiter ○ Coverings must adhere to District Code of Conduct ○ Coverings can NOT conceal a person’s identity (no Halloween masks, etc)

Return to School Protocols: Health and Safety ● Hand Hygiene ○ Students will be required to wash/sanitize before and after eating. ● Hygiene Instruction ○ Direct instruction from teachers regarding hygiene recommendations and requirements ● A Student or Staff with a Temperature but no COVID Symptoms- ○ May return to school after 24 hours of “normal” temperature reading ● A Student or Staff with a COVID Diagnosis- ○ Protocol that complies with DOH and CDC guidance for the return to school of students and staff following a positive screen for COVID-19 symptoms, illness or diagnosis of confirmed case of COVID-19 or following quarantine due to contact with a confirmed case of COVID-19. Return to school will be coordinated with the local health department. ○

Return/Welcome to North Park ● Hybrid Model (more specific schedule included later) ○ Blue Cohort: ■ Monday/Tuesday- In School- 8:12 - 2:42 ■ Wednesday- Remote- 9:00 - 12:00 ■ Thursday/Friday- Remote- 8:12 - 2:42 ○ Gold Cohort: ■ Monday/Tuesday- Remote- 8:12 - 2:42 ■ Wednesday- Remote- 9:00 - 12:00 ■ Thursday/Friday- In School- 8:12 - 2:42 ○ Students will follow their schedule (periods 1 - 9) both In School and Remotely. ○ Attendance is required and will be taken both In School and Remotely. ○ Students do NOT need to sign into a Lunch Period

Return/Welcome to North Park ● Hybrid Model ○ Specifics about the school day: ■ Arrival: Walkers/Parent Drop off- Passaic Ave Loop (door 1) ● Please do not park in Guest Parking or Staff Parking Spots ■ Arrival: Bussers- Busses will drop off students at doors around the building to allow for social distancing ■ Students will report directly to first period ● Schedules will be posted in Parent/Student Portal by/around Sept 1st ■ Students will rotate to different classrooms throughout the day ● Some Stairs and Hallways will be designated as 1 way to ensure distancing ● Additional passing time has been added to accommodate ■ Students will NOT have access to Lockers ● School Supplies List has been updated to limit size and amount of materials ● Locker Access will be re-assessed throughout the year.

Return/Welcome to North Park ● Hybrid Model ○ Specifics about the school day: ■ Lunch: ● We will use the Cafeteria and Auditorium to keep students 6ft apart ● A bag lunch will be provided (with a variety of sandwich and salad options) ● The Cafeteria is NOT accepting Cash at this time ○ All transactions must be done with MySchoolBucks ■ Dismissal: Walkers/Parent Pick up- Students can be picked up in the Passaic Ave Loop starting at 2:40. ● Please do not park in Guest Parking or Staff Parking Spaces ■ Dismissal: Bussers- Students will be dismissed to their busses at 2:42 ● Busses will leave the school around 2:48 and take 20-30 minutes to drop off all students. ■ NOTE: The first few days of school busses always run late (Both AM and PM)

Grades/Grading: ● All students will receive grading scores (0 - 100%) on all assignments and as per each teacher’s grading practices in compliance with district policies. ○ Students will likely have grades for work done during the school day as well as “homework” done outside of the school day. ● A goal of the district is teach curriculum at a pace consistent with a traditional school year.
