  2. Why are we forming one CCG? • The five CCGs in North Central London will form one organisation from April 2020. • The role of the future organisation will be to commission safe, effective and responsive services that meet residents’ health needs, promote wellbeing and reduce inequalities • We are proud that some of the health and care services offered in North Central London are among the best in the country, but there is still more work to do to • Coming together will enable us to: • better join-up care for residents; • tackle ongoing health inequalities; • reduce waste, and; • build a financially sustainable system for the future. • However, lot of services will still be planned and delivered locally – including primary care, community care, mental health

  3. Future Patient and Public Engagement approach Aims: • Transparency and openness in our commissioning • Realistic Patient and public engagement plans we can deliver on • Camden resident / patient representation / views built into our ways of working • Camden ‘touch points’ to listen to local voice protected in our commissioning • NCL CCG engagement best practice shared across the boroughs • Clarity for Voluntary and Community Sector on involvement in plans

  4. How will we listen to what local residents want? Camden: • Maintaining our patient and public engagement approach - rated as ‘Good’ by NHS England • Keeping a dedicated engagement post in Camden team • Camden Patient and Public Engagement Group (CPPEG) will continue • CPPEG rep on Camden’s local commissioning committee ( - proposed) • CPPEG rep on the Camden Local Care Partnership Board - alongside Healthwatch / VCS partners North Central London CCG: • NCL CCG PPE and Equalities Committee • Patient reps on other NCL CCG Committees • Across 20/21 we will test new ways of doing PPE as an NCL CCG, as we mature • Explore opportunities to deliver PPE in partnership e.g. with Primary Care Networks

  5. Residents Health Panel • The panel is one way we will involve residents in helping shape and make decisions relating to health and care services in North Central London. Feedback will help us improve and develop the services that we provide. • Members of the Residents’ Health Panel must be over 18 and live or be registered with a GP in Barnet, Camden, Enfield, Haringey or Islington • Currently around 1000 people signed up but we’d like to increase this • Anyone can sign up to be part of the Residents’ Health Panel: https://conversation.northlondonpartners.org.uk/

  6. How will local clinicians still lead commissioning? Camden: • Two Camden GPs sitting on the future North Central London CCG Governing Body • Camden GPs in CCG clinical lead posts – leading on service design activity • Camden GPs sitting on Camden local commissioning committee • Camden GPs on the Integrated Care Partnership board North Central London CCG: • 10 GPs, Secondary Care clinical and nurse sitting on Governing Body • GPs from across North Central London involvement: • Pool of clinical leads to advise on commissioning • Informing development of our NHS Long Term Plan local response • Shaping development of borough Integrated Care Partnerships

  7. Developing a Camden Integrated Care Partnership • Transitionary governance Health and social care partners across Camden are working towards establishing a borough- based integrated care partnership – where organisations such as hospitals, GPs, community Camden Health and services, social care, and mental health services work collaboratively to improve the health and Wellbeing Board wellbeing of local people and reduce health inequalities. • To achieve this, in Camden we are working within a transitionary governance structure. Camden Integrated • Care Executive Our shared integrated care purpose: To make Camden the best place to grow, live and age well. • Over the next 12-24 months we will deliver three programmes: Camden Local Care An integrated care roadmap : We will focus on ‘ageing well’ and collaborate on two projects 1. Partnership Board (urgent community response and increasing community connectedness). 2. An asset-based approach to increasing healthy life expectancy : Working with local Adults & MH Integrated organisations to support an Ageing Society. Care Partnership Groups A Citizens’ Assembly : Overseen by the Health and Wellbeing Board to inform the development 3. of our strategy and identify resident priorities. Aligned to this, a patient and public engagement task and finish group is considering a wider engagement strategy. 7
