Future Directions  Development of a new appendage for our signs.  The Welcoming Project was created to allow businesses, churches, and organizations to show their patrons that all are welcome. Our signs indicate "All Are Welcome" no matter who you are. Although the rainbow flag is the traditional sign for gay rights and straight allies often recognize this as a symbol of acceptance and support, we like to think that the "All Are Welcome" message shows your patrons that you support everyone, no matter their gender, sexuality, race, ethnicity, religion, etc.  To convey this message with even more clarity, we are proposing the development of an appendage to place underneath our current signs.  Thanks to Sandalwood & Sage for their creative ideas

How Can You Help?  Stay tuned for… The Welcoming Project Video “Crawl” in Downtown Norman  The idea: get a group of people to do a “crawl” to all the stores in downtown Norman  Michael Hernandez will shoot a video as we go from place to place. The video will:  Thank the current businesses who support The Welcoming Project  Show how businesses who are members of The Welcoming Project make a difference in our community.  Then we will post this video on our website to encourage others to join The Welcoming Project. We’d like this to be an Annual Event!
