‚INTERREG IV A Deutschland-Nederland 2007-2013‘ • EU program for the Dutch-German border region between North See coast and lower Rhine • 294 million € from European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) and national/regional authorities • More than 200 different projects: – economy, technology, innovation – sustainable regional development – integration and society • EUREGIO has function of regional program management
Project ‚Mechatronics for SME‘ • 11 Dutch and German partners (organizations for promotion of economic development, universities / universities of applied science and technology centers) plus 11 associated partners • Subsidy and support of cross border technology consulting and R&D for SME => Purpose: to improve the competitiveness
Approach • Connect knowledge organizations and enterprises on both sides of the border • Needs of enterprise constitute starting point • Transfer of know-how across the border to SME • Optimization of production processes and products
