  6. NET Line One 14km system - emphasis on Park & Ride (3,000+ spaces), feeder bus links, rail interchange and multi modal ticketing. Runs 6am to midnight. High frequency on core section at peak time - 99% reliability and punctuality. 30% of users estimated as having transferred from car or using NET based park and ride. Public transport use in corridor up 20% in peak; congestion reduced by as much as 9%. 92% very satisfied / satisfied in Annual Customer Satisfaction Survey

NET Line One A good investment Catalyst for regeneration and economic growth: Nottingham • Significant increase in developments around city tram stops. • Regeneration of Old Market Square. • Major investments at Nottm Trent University. • Relocation of Nottingham City Council’s HQ, Land Registry, etc. Elsewhere • Major housing and retail development in Hucknall. • 10% rise in residential property values in Hyson Green, Radford, and Hucknall.

Upgrading Line One – More trams • New trams arriving every month since Sept (eight so far) • Testing on Line One & phased introduction • Increasing Line One frequency – summer • Up to eight trams per hour / providing up to 150 more seats per hour • Trams every 3-4 minutes on main section and through city centre

  9. �� Upgrading Line One / Phase Two Ticketing � New ticketing system will be introduced this spring � Pay ‘before you board’ at the ticket machine � Use cash or credit/debit cards to buy single & day tickets � We can introduce new smart card products such as Mango � New season tickets from £1.23 a day for regular customers � Tickets can be purchased and stored on mobile phones � ‘Touch on’ concession passes at the validator � Revenue Protection staff will be on trams and at tram stops

Coming up in Beeston / Chilwell • Lower / Fletcher Road - Track installation expected to be complete end May. • Styring St traffic restrictions - reduced by July. • Demolition of Wilkos and other shops in The Square - preparing to make good the walls of remaining businesses. • Greenway culvert - Progressing rapidly now. (No flooding since tram drainage works installed and they are not yet fully complete). • Bramcote Lane - Culvert Complete. Couple of hours closure overnight to install overhead wires. There will be some restrictions with shuttle working. • Cator Lane crossing - Additional gas main works causing delays - completion now expected May. • Bardill’s Island & Toton Lane widening works - Summer/Autumn ‘14 • Landscaping (planting replacement trees and vegetation) – Ongoing

Hidden gems Archaeology: • Trent Peak in Beeston undertook the work • Clifton Park & Ride Site Bronze Age burial mound – occupied for thousands of years but activity stopped as early as 100 B.C. • Lenton First evidence of a Roman settlement so close to Nottingham – One A.D. • Finds will be donated to local museums

Phase Two – frequently asked questions � No City Centre ‘terminus’ – trams run through from Toton through Beeston to Hucknall and from Clifton to Phoenix Park � Trams will run every 7-8 minutes during the daytime and services run from 6am until midnight, 7 days a week � All the current range of tickets will continue to be available � Kangaroo tickets allow tram and bus travel � OAP Concession passes are valid between 9.30am – 11pm Mon-Fri INCLUDING during afternoon peak period, all day at weekends and on Bank Holidays.
