Conclusion • There is strong evidence for reduced cardiovascular mortality by exposure to urban green spaces • There is strong evidence for that this may be explained by urban green spaces’ effects on heat and on mood • There is low evidence for any effect on lung cancer and birth weight • This corresponds to the low evidence for pathways which might have explained these outcomes – stress reduction and physical activity
