  2. v Nature and Cities Project is being conducted with partnership of Nature Conservation Centre and Eurosite Association (Netherlands) v It is supported in the framework of “Civil Society Dialogue Between EU and Turkey Grant Scheme (CSD-V).” v The project has started on 1st of April, 2019, and will take 15 months v The main objective of the project is to enhance the dialogue and cooperation between EU and Turkish NGOs in environment and sustainable development sectors with support of Çankaya Municipality, beIN İ Z TV

  3. q Mapping and assessing natural ecosystems and ecosystem services in the center of Ankara, Çankaya. The aim of the mapping is to ensure that users see the spatial distribution of ecosystem services, and integrate them into land use strategies, inform / guide users and decision makers

  4. Çankaya q Exchanging good practices and experiences between Netherlands (North Braband) and Turkey (Çankaya) by workshops and study visits in both countries. Tilburg

  5. Ø To share good practices and experiences on nature based solutions and green infrastructure in urban areas of North Brabant region

  6. Ø To initiate the dialogue and cooperation between NGOs and Municipalities of Turkey and Netherlands. Ø To increase capacity of knowledge and experience on social, economic and environmental benefits of nature based solutions and green infrastructure such as air quality, water flow, climate regulation, water purification, waste treatment, flood prevention, disease regulation, disaster risk reduction in order to encourage the NGOs and municipalities to promote nature based solutions and green infrastructure. Ø To disseminate this knowledge and experiences through the reference materials and public awareness materials that will be produced.

  7. q At least 1 joint agreement signed between the Turkish and Dutch NGOs or Municipalities for sustainable and long-term cooperation between related stakeholders of Turkey and Netherlands.

  9. q 1 documentary, 1 short film and 2 social media films on Dutch and Turkish experiences on “nature based solutions and green infrastructure” will be produced. q Reference materials on nature based solutions and green infrastructure in cities will be developed (best practices book-EU Green Infrastructure Strategy Translation)

  10. q Organizing an exhibition in Netherlands on Turkey’s natural values to promote the importance of EU membership of Turkey. Turkey is located in three biogeographical regions: Anatolian, Mediterranean, Black Sea region, and their transition zones. The country’s territory consists of forests, mountains, steppe, wetlands, coastal and marine ecosystems and different forms and combinations of these systems. Ø An exhibition on Turkey’s natural values will be organized in the Netherlands featuring at least 50 photographs by at least 10 photographers from Turkey.

  11. q an International Workshop in Ankara on Nature Based Solutions and Green Infrastructure in Cities will be organized.
