NA61 PSD was calibrated during 27 October – 3 November on SPS beam: - muon + hadron beam centred on each of 44 modules for precise muon calibration and hadron energy reconstruction tests perfect MIP-like signal visible! ADC this is “1 MIP” - beam momentum scan (13, 20, 31, 40, 60, 80, 120 and 158 GeV/c) for fine tuning of PSD response and check linearity and hadronic energy resolution - 44 module scan with reduced HV on MAPD to increase the dynamic range of MAPD for using PSD at high nucleus-nucleus collisions 5

  6. NA61 PSD. Calibration. Performance 20GeV 31GeV 40GeV Results of PSD calibration: 60GeV - good linearity of response observed 80GeV 120GeV 158GeV - hadron energy resolution was estimated Thanks for the nice test beam for PSD! 6
