General target proposal We want to bring chess to (all) types of schools (and kindergardens), if possible nationwide. The DSJ (German chess Youth) is supporting this organisationally.
Guiding principle „competition“ What competitions are there? The German School Chess Championship
It should I Determine the best German school team. II Be held at different locations in Germany and take into account the educational aspect (sideline programme and field trips). Guiding principle chess as a school subject : Chess is considered to be part of the educational mandate and should, therefore, be a firm part of the school curriculum. Guiding principles for schools and clubs: - Schools, in general, will find it easy to understand the benefits of chess. - The clubs' should be able to use the prerequisites at the schools. - In principle the DSJ is active in the initiative of e.g.: networking between schools and clubs, offering assistance for clubs and providing training courses
Guiding principle for training: - The goal is a high-quality and standardised training of chess teachers. - The DSJ and the DSS promote teacher training - The goal should be that future teacher training in chess (university degree, if applicable)
Interlocking principle: all contacts that promote the spread of chess should be cultivated and maintained. At the same time, one should always try to understand the position of the other, so that both sides profit from it in the long term.
Guiding Principle Public Relations - An internet website is to be set up as soon as possible for all officials and interested parties. (containing an index page, search function, a database with all federal states)
