OMC Observational Research Update • Led by Tom Arneson, MD; Susan P. Anderson, PhD; and Deepa McGriff, MPH • Research database • Much progress with development • Substantial testing and tweaking remains • Hope to have substantive results to report by end of March • Patient and health care practitioner surveys • Now underway – sent at 3 months • Response rate around 50% for patients and 35% for health care practitioners

Intractable Pain • 12/2/15: MDH announced decision to add intractable pain as a qualifying medical condition • 12/31/15: MDH notified Task Force co-chairs of decision • 1/15/16: MDH will notify legislators of the decision, as required by Minn.Stat. §152.27, subd. 2(b) • 8/1/16: effective date, unless legislature provides otherwise
