The District Governor creates the vision that inspires Rotarians to acts of service in their clubs, their communities and their world. Visit the District Website • Information for the class of 2016-17 will be posted on the District 5240 website – Go to www.rotarydistrict5240.org – Select District from the menu at the top of the page – Select Rotary Year 2016-17 Information from the drop-down menu – Access to some information will require you to login to the website with a user id and password Rotary International District 5240 11

What You Should Do Now • Read the Reverse Calendar • Create your plan for getting to know your club members and to better understand their expectations of their Rotary membership. • Obtain a login id and password for the D5240 website and My Rotary • Become familiar with your club’s bylaws, continuing resolutions and budgeting process • Plan to attend the New Focus Membership Seminar April 18 • Place all other important dates on your calendar • Participate in district training sessions: PRLS, Foundation, Membership, Grants • Meet regularly with your club President and President Elect • Appoint a technology advisor • Spend time with your classmates – visit other clubs • Ask questions – this is the time to begin to learn • Lead by example Rotary International District 5240 12
