DebRA Mayoral Award • Epidermolysis Bullosa (EB) is a very rare genetic condition - the skin and internal body linings blister at the slightest knock or rub, causing painful, open wounds. • DebRA was founded in 1978 by a group of parents whose children were affected by EB. • DebRA Groups now established in 32 countries around the world • DebRA only national patient support group and medical research charity in the UK for EB • UK DebRA is the main funder of specialist EB treatment and research facilities at national and regional level. • DebRA relies entirely on voluntary donations.
