Interview Map: This Map gives you the three main sections of a successful interview or presentation. Pre: presentation warm up: I’d really like to hear story about how you became this extraordinary gamechanger. However before I dive into that would you share with me what PROJECT is really all about. We’re going to do 6 questions in 6 minutes and then we’ll dive into your story… ready…!? 1. Who do you serve? 2. What’s the problem you solve for them? 3. Why is it so important problem to solve this? a. The bad things that happen if they don’t solve it... b. The good things that happen if they do... 4. Your ultimate vision for what’s possible FOR THEM… 5. What are the (3 to 5) biggest mistakes they’re making and why they are a huge problem. 6. How do you correct these mistakes and solve their big problem. MAIN SECTION 1: ORIGIN STORY & GAMECHANGER JOURNEY (How I did it…) Every superhero has an origin story that explains who they are and why they do what they do. Think about it batman, wonder-woman, spiderman, superman, elastigirl… they don’t make any sense, until you understand where they come from, how they got their powers, what happened to them and what they decided to do about it. Right…? So tell me where are you from… What happened to you… What did you decide to do about it… Origin Story… (Your origin story is NOT your biography. You are the avatar in THEIR journey. Meet them where they’re at so they can relate, explain what happened that set you apart, then demonstrate how you can help them walk the path that lies ahead for them. You can help them in 1 of 3 ways; Mentor: You have walked the path from where they are to where they want to be. ●
● Coach: You have empowered and enabled others to get from where they are to where they want to be. ● Teacher: You have the specialised knowledge information they need to get from where they are to where they want to be. MAIN SECTION 2: YOUR BUSINESS/PROJECT How you can do it… Lets’ shift gears and get practical. 1. THE PROBLEM: (Take time here to really spell this out - ask for give detail - use examples.) a. You mentioned earlier that PROJECT serves AVATAR who are facing PROBLEM. Right? b. Tell me more about AVATAR… c. Give me an example of someone with this problem d. Tell me about the PROBLEM - how big is it? e. Tell me about the PRACTICAL PAIN POINTS - what it costs them? f. Tell me about the EMOTIONAL PAIN POINTS - how it makes them feel? 2. THE VISION: a. I want to hear more about the VISION you have for them because it sounds truly remarkable… what’s really possible? b. How is that possible? Present the evidence and make me believe it’s possible. Do the calculations, present numbers, facts, figures to support your case. DO NOT TELL ME HOW TO DO IT… JUST DEMONSTRATE TO ME THAT I CAN DO IT! c. Prove it! Present case studies, testimonials, examples of people who have achieved this vision (with or without you) 3. THE MISTAKES You mentioned the the (3 to 5) biggest mistakes people are making. Can you elaborate a bit on each of those… (Go through these points on each mistake.) a. Define the mistake and explain it. b. Describe how it happens… c. Why it’s such a big huge mistake. d. The negative consequences of repeating it. e. The obvious practical benefits of solving it. f. The powerful, self serving, emotional benefits of solving it. g. What’s the solutions - what must I do to overcome this mistake. 4.
