Background 2012 – Central Valley Flood Protection Plan (CVFPP) adopted As part of the implementation of the 2012 CVFPP: • DWR is working with local flood management agencies to prepare more detailed Regional Flood Management Plans (RFMPs)
RFMPs The RFMPs will articulate: • Regional flood management challenges and deficiencies • Potential solutions/projects identified by local public agencies and interest groups • Financial strategies that identify project benefits and potential sources of funding
Regions RFMPs are being developed for 6 regions in areas protected by facilities of the State Plan of Flood Control (SPFC) • Upper Sacramento River/Mid-Sacramento River • Feather River • Lower Sacramento River/Delta-North • Lower San Joaquin River/Delta-South • Mid-San Joaquin River • Upper San Joaquin River
