EASTERN ONTARIO DEVELOPMENT PROGRAM (EODP) EODP introduced Oct.’04 by PM Harper, a $10M socio economic development initiative for EO, delivered by EO CFDCs Since Oct. 2004, 15 CFs in EO have rec’d $65M leveraging a further $300M from partners, delivering 5,500 projects Each CFDC administer $858,000 annually under two pillars of funding Local decision making
EODP COMPONENTS BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT Eligible activities: – Training & Skills development – Web enhancement, e-commerce, GIS appl., software development – Business plans, expansion plans & feasibility studies – Research & Development – Trade Show exhibits for market expansion – Internships-Youth & Non-Youth Not to exceed 50% of eligible project costs to max. of $100,000
EODP COMPONENTS COMMUNITY INNOVATION Eligible Activities: – Community based economic development initiatives -Research Projects -Marketing & Promotional activities -Tourism events -Export & Trade Initiatives -Facilitation of workshops/seminars -Small scale physical works Not to exceed 50% of eligible project costs to max. of $100,000
EODP INITIATIVES Not For Profit Organizations may apply for up to 100% of the total eligible costs to a maximum of $100,000 Exceptions: Skills Development-Up to $5,000 per employee to max of $25,000/organization Internships-Up to $2,500/month , max of $15,000 in a 12 month period
